Co-Serve’s partner in Nigeria, Harvest Leadership Community in Africa (or “HALCIA”), uses retreats for groups as a primary way that they fulfill their mission of promoting a culture of servant leadership in Africa. They will often bring groups together over a period of 3-5 days, and immerse them in discussions and activities that help them learn about and experience servant leadership. The only problem is that this can be expensive as they rent facilities to hold these retreats. For some time now, HALCIA has been hoping and praying for their own facilities where they could offer these retreats. We are very happy to announce that this past December, HALCIA was able to purchase their own property and facility at a very reasonable price. They are now working to refurbish this facility so they can begin using these facilities later this year.
